Online Learning Consortium (OLC)

As the leader of marketing and communications at OLC (a non-profit higher education organization) I established brand and marketing strategies to elevate the organization from a grant-funded and dependent organization to a fully self-sustaining member organization. This included a full rebrand, new website redesign and a successful strategy  to grow and sustain revenue-generation. Under my direction, the marketing team built a strong and highly-respected brand. 

 

My marketing direction included budgeting, lead generations, advertising (established Google Ads non-profit account worth $120K annually), website content, navigation, design, SEM, analytics, tracking, and reporting. My team developed successful social media accounts and strategies with daily posting and analytics, and accomplished continual growth of the organizational membership, customer base and revenues. Due to the marketing efforts, our social media accounts saw tremendous growth in followers and engagement and successfully positioned OLC as a leader and subject-matter-expert in online higher education with top media publications.

The Kelsey Group

The Kelsey Group specializes in research, consulting, advisory services, data and analysis on print and electronic Yellow Pages, local search, small-business marketing and local media. In my executive marketing role I developed and executed integrated marketing strategies and tactical plans for both traditional and digital marketing and communications. I established lead generation strategies to grow market presence and sales, thus increasing revenue and brand recognition. I directed advertising, public relations, traditional and digital marketing efforts. My planning and strategy expertise was leveraged for the development of market planning and competitive analysis to strengthen and grow the company's market position.

Marketing Manager & Project Management Lead

Verizon 

At the forefront of online commerce, the first online Yellow Pages (Superpages) was created and launched by a small group of dedicated pioneers - myself included. I played a key leadership role in the marketing efforts and project management of major projects for the leading online advertising medium, with annual revenue goals of $12M. In this role, I developed marketing strategies and tactical plans for lead-generation, segmentation marketing, and advertising sales; researched market trends and developed competitive and market analysis; managed design and direction of marketing and sales materials and website content. Business development projects included sales, promotional, content, PR, and technology relationships. My project management initiatives at Verizon/Bell Atlantic included new product development and launch, collaborative partnerships, software projects, and regional sales office build-out projects.

Social Media Video Campaign

In celebration of a business milestone I created a "Five-Days of Gratitude" social media campaign with five short videos focused on appreciation for five significant contributors to the business. The sentiments  conveyed gratitude and contributed to a positive brand message.

Annual Survey Marketing Plan

For the past 6 years, I created and executed the marketing plan as a sponsor for a major annual survey on online learning. The data from the findings are widely sourced by top higher education media publications and resulted in significant brand exposure and positioning for the organization I represented. 

Sponsor Lead

Generation

Event sponsorship made a sudden shift from onsite to online, requiring new ideas. My strategy to ensure sponsorship success entailed a very targeted approach to identifying and delivering a wide array of innovative, new  opportunities for sponsors to grow leads and strengthen their revenue stream. 

New Website Section

From landing pages to adding new sections to the company website, my contributions entailed full navigation, SEO, content creation, inquiry forms, tracking and analytics and a promotional plan that included email, social media and advertising and more.
